Pinaisara Waterfall 1 day tour

This name was given to the waterfall because it looks like an old mans beard, when looked at from a distance. Tour consist of kayaking on the river and hiking on a beautiful mountain path to the falls.
This one day tour goes to the top of the falls and back down to the basin. While there you will be able to view the natural beauty of the island, a site that will stay with you forever.

Please bring drinking water for the tour. (1-2 500ml bottle)
Bring some cloth for change if you come from Ishigaki.

What is Pinaisara?
“Pinai Falls” In Iriomote Island, it is called “Pinaisara”, that “Pinai” means a white beard and “Sara” means a waterfall.
It is located upstream of the Hinai River and has a drop of about 55m, making it one of the largest waterfalls in Okinawa Prefecture.
What is Sakishimasuounoki?
Sakishimasuoki grows in inland marshes with mangrove forests, and is distributed in Amami Oshima, Okinawa, Ishigakijima, and Iriomotejima.
It is characterized by a large board-like root (itane), which was used as a ship’s rudder in the old days.
There are other trees with itane roots, but among them, Sakishimasuounoki is said to be by far the most splendid.
