What is Yutsun Falls?
Yutsun Falls is a waterfall located in the Yuchin River, which flows from the west side of Mt. Komi, located in the northeast of Iriomote Island. Also known as the “three-tiered waterfall,” it is shaped like a block of large rocks.
The total drop is about 35m, and when there is a lot of water, it is spectacular.
The altitude of falls is about 250m and you can see very far.
In the surrounding area, you can see hollows in rocks called potholes everywhere.
This is a cylindrical dent as a result of the pebbles in the dent in the sandstone riverbed that was rotated by the action of the water flow and continued to be scraped away little by little over a long period of time.
It can be said that it is a form of beauty created by nature.
